History

In 1973 a group of Black Country diving enthusiasts founded Dudley Nautilus Sub Aqua Club.

In 2016 we celebrated 40 years of being a British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) member.

The club today has around 50 members of whom there are three BSAC qualified instructors ranging from Open Water to Advanced and three Assistant instructors working their way towards Open Water Instructor. Active diving members range in age from 18 to something they won’t tell us!

Location

We are based at Netherton Reservoir (Lodge Farm Reservoir) near Dudley, UK and hold Club dives there every Saturday morning.

We also hire the pool at Halesowen Leisure Centre every Thursday night 7-8pm, which can be used free of charge by members for scuba training, snorkelling or swimming.

Facilities and Equipment

Netherton Reservoir has an underwater rope course and back on land is equipped with excellent facilities, including heated changing rooms with showers and a fully fitted kitchen and a bar.

We have a range of equipment for use by members.
